On May 10, 2018, Crew Enterprises of Ketchikan launched our new, custom designed shellfish nursery. This new design is packed with features that maximize lean farming techniques. The goal was to create a super efficient system that reduces ongoing labor effort, increases quality of product, and uses a minimum of operating energy. We will be adding posts to this page that point out some of the many innovative design features that came from the collaboration of a super talented fabricator, Ben Crew, and a seasoned Alaskan oyster farmer and nursery operator, Eric Wyatt.
